Rhino In The Desert 2025 – A Look Back

2025 is almost in the books, but we take one last glance in the rear-view at the outdoor festival season with this video look-back at the amazing RISE Festival. Rhino Nevada was all in on this, the world’s largest sky lantern festival of art, music and light, from mid-September through mid-October. Enjoy now as Boone Jackson, our Director of Operations in NV, narrates the challenges those weeks presented and the Rhino spirit that rose to meet each one.

Our first day working on the festival was on Sept. 17th in the festival warehouse
Our first day on the festival site at the Jean Dry Lake Bed was Sept. 18th.
From the Sept. 21st thru Oct. 9th we were continually on site at the Lake Bed.
The festival dates were Oct. 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
For the 11 day period of Sept. 27 to Oct. 7 there were 8 days where Rhino employees filled more than 100 positions (stagehands, riggers, equipment operators) on site at the Lake Bed.
Our busiest day on site was Oct. 6th when we filled 208 positions (stagehands, riggers, equipment operators).
