Let’s be honest about this industry. When you get into this line of work, you don’t just choose a career. You choose a lifestyle.
You choose long days, unpredictable schedules, and a front row seat to pressure most people never see. But you also gain something rare.
The friends you make become family. The people you meet change how you see the world. The rooms you end up in remind you how far curiosity and grit can take you.
There’s a saying I’ve always believed.
“Hard work introduces you to people you were never supposed to meet.”
Another one that hits even harder.
“You don’t remember every show, but you remember who stood next to you.”
This industry will test you. It will humble you. It will ask more of you than feels fair at times. But it will also give you community. Shared wins. Shared losses. And moments where you look around and realize you’re surrounded by people who understand this life without explanation.
That’s not something you find everywhere. And if you’ve been in it long enough to feel that, you know exactly what I mean.
