Eight Minutes Matters

Eight minutes can save a life.
Not because you solve anything for someone, but because for eight minutes they are not carrying everything alone.

Simon Sinek said it best. “Do you have eight minutes?” And it stayed with me.

In our industry, we move fast. We push through long days and heavy pressure. We stay focused, stay busy, and often pretend we are fine even when we are not. The people who look the strongest are usually the ones who need connection more than anyone realizes.

That is why eight minutes matters.

Eight minutes can interrupt someone’s spiral.
Eight minutes can remind them they matter.
Eight minutes can be the moment of support they were hoping someone would notice.

It is not the length of the call that creates impact. It is the presence. The listening. The simple act of reaching out when you do not have to.

I wish more of us checked in before things hit a breaking point. I wish more people understood how powerful a small gesture can be.

If someone crosses your mind today, reach out. Do not wait for the perfect moment. Just ask for eight minutes. It might be exactly what they needed.

Stay Positive.
